I know, I know - let me apologize right off the bat - it's been too long since we blogged! I've got a lot of goodness lined up now (there's the silver lining!) and wanted to kick off with a bridal session from this past March I've been waiting to share until lovely Lexie tied the knot. Well, this blue-eyed beauty is now a MRS and I can share a few of my favorites with all of you. Enjoy!

Here it is - our first bridal session featuring a bride AND a groom. We love it! Kati scheduled her session eons ago and then called us a few days before to see if Troy could maybe tag along for a few photos. "ummm... heck ya!" What a fantastic way to arrange for some extra 'couple shots' in the wedding attire - without the stress of a wedding day. Now of course, this concept of a bride and groom session is not new (see some of our Newlywed sessions!) - but scheduling this prior to the big day was a (welcome) first for us. Now, if only we could think up a good name for our (not-so-newlywed, yet more than a bridal) session...

Ft. Pickens is an old military fort on Pensacola Beach that was closed for a good while after Hurricane Ivan. Lucky for us, it has been reopened by the park service & now serves as a wonderful location for shoots of all kinds.
We just photographed Kaitlin's wedding a little over a week ago in Navarre. You'll see her wedding images coming out soon!
Brandi was our very first New Orleans bride to introduce us to the absolutely incredible Longue Vue House. The Longvue is an amazing venue that offers a blend of traditional New Orleans settings, and gorgeous gardens & greenery. It's become a favorite location for New Orleans bridal sessions!

The gentleman in the portrait under the stairs is Katherine's great grandfather Huey Long - some of you history buffs may have heard of him :) And the picture of the right was featured on the cover of the June 2009 issue of InRegister Magazine, where Katherine & Gary's wedding was the cover feature!
