If Sarah looks a little familiar to you that is because we recently shared her twin sister's engagement session over here. Check it out now - I'll wait.
How cool is that?! We get to work with twin sisters in the same year - and both couples, I am so fortunate to report, are equally lovely. I am one seriously lucky photo-chick. (Now might be a fun time to divulge that as an only child my favorite movie growing up was the original Parent Trap with Haley Mills and Haley Mills. Classic.)

Engagement Session
January 17, 2010
New Orleans, LA
We've gushed about New Orleans before, so I won't repeat myself any more now.
Charles payed this musician twenty bucks to keep playing long enough for me to take this photo! He threw in a signed CD for the couple to take home as a souvenir :)
Amy + Steve had the distinct honor of working with yours truly on their wedding day! :-) Of course, ALL of you get to work with me...but it was JUST me on this one. An interesting tidbit - Amy shared with me that when they applied for the marriage license, they were told that they were the first wedding of 2010 in Walton County. How about that?

Wedding
January 8, 2010
Santa Rosa Beach, FL
I started off the morning with some "getting ready" coverage. There's always time for details...
Meet Amy.
I don't usually have the chance to photograph the big moment when the dress goes on, so it was awesome to get to be a part of that. Amy's mom helped her with the intricacies of the lacing.
We had just a few short minutes before the ceremony, but there was enough time to capture a few portraits of Amy.
The ceremony decor.
The Florida coastline was COLD this past January, so Amy & Steve opted to keep things indoors...in the warm!
Meet Steve. We braved the elements to capture a few beach portraits.
I absolutely LOVED the presentation by Amy's caterer. The name of their company is Dine By Design. Check em' out!
*Whoopsie* seems I've fallen a bit behind on my blog contests! Here are your results (love it voting system) from post made on November 22nd through December 22nd 2009.
A BIG congratulations to our first-place winners Brittany & Adam! You'll have a signature series print of this winning image headed your way SOON! ;)
Leanne & Matt are a rare breed here at Meg Baisden Photography - they are Pensacola natives! Both Leanne AND Matt grew up right here in Pensacola, and both attended area high schools. Actually, Meg & Leanne went to the same high school - but didn't really know each other, as Leanne is a youngin' (3 yrs younger than us old folks!)

I have to give Matt a quick shout out & mention his absolutely fantastic bait & tackle shop located in Gulf Breeze - just before you make the turn to the beach, you can see it on the right. It's called Hot Spots Bait & Tackle. So for you boat owners out there...stop by & see Matt the next time you are stocking up!
Jenn & Sheri are longtime friends - If I'm not mistaken - best friends from high school... so we knew the pressure was on when Sheri sent her good friend our way when it was her turn to get married. We photographed Jenn & Kevin's engagement session back in December 2008 in New Orleans.
For me, part of the charm of the Quarter comes from the people. Sure the architecture is great - but it just wouldn't be the festive and wonderful place that it is without all of the street performers and artists. So when this clown wanted to pose for a picture, who were we to say no?!

New Orleans, LA
New Orleans is a city that just resonates with me in a way I've never quite experienced anywhere else... architecture, food, history, and culture. I can't get enough!
I mean, come on - how great is this round building?
The world famous St. Louis Cathedral overlooking a busy Jackson Square.
