I'm pleased to be the first to announce yet another new feature of this snazzy blog. Well...to clarify...not so much a feature, as a brand new take on revealing your wedding images... DeAnna + Allen have the good fortune of falling right in line for this introduction! Now that we've got all of this blogging goodness in place, we're going to be releasing your wedding images RIGHT HERE on the blog first! We want to give you a way to get ALL your friends & family in one place, and let them give YOU a little blog love! OK -- here goes!
Drumrollllllllllllllll please.... for the first time anywhere... DeAnna + Allen's Wedding!!!!!!!!! |

A huge congratulations from the entire Meg Baisden Photography family! Here's to a lifetime of happiness! And lastly -- before we close this post out, we'd like to extend a note of "WOW" to the ladies of the Bliss Event Group. Ya'll could not have created a more stunning reception...absolutely breathtaking!

Edited To Add -- we failed to thank a very special friend who assisted us on this wedding as a third shooter...Dr. John Flatt! John is not only a great friend, but a photographer that is quickly coming into his own.We photographed Sheri + John's wedding in New Orleans, LA way back in November 2007, and John has struck out on a photography journey of his own. He's got a little one on the way, so those photography skills will be worth their weight in gold! Thanks for your help John!

I figured we would just start off the photo share by handing out a few smarty pant nods - the first award goes to these terry cloth wraps - all the girls had one, a gift from the bride, and they were all monogrammed... but that's not all - they also had monogrammed and polka dotted martini glasses, bags... all sorts of stuff. But the wraps get the award because they just make so much sense... most of our brides and bridesmaids do professional hair and makeup before slipping into their formal attire - but getting whatever you wear off without messing up the hair and makeup can be tricky. While a bride can remind her girls to wear something loose or a button up top, it's just so much easier to give your girls something to wear that can double as a bridesmaid gift - plus, all the matchy-matchy can make for some cute photos.

Everything is better in threes... plus Meg loves the two pink cameras.

LOVE this group shot Meg took.

While Meg was doing her thing with the girls, I was hanging with the guys.

Parasols to shade your guests are a nice touch for a beach wedding.

Check out the shot on the right here. That dude up in the sky made so much noise! (And no, he wasn't our groom making a grand entrance or anyone related to the wedding.) Luckily, he made his way down the beach just in time for the ceremony to begin.

LOVE this kind of golden light.

"You may now lei one another" got a big laugh.

Meg & I are also big fans of the toss happening at the processional. It is so festive and the perfect end to the ceremony. Everyone is in attendance, too - which doesn't usually happen with end of the reception send-offs. Petal toss after ceremony gets an award.

Parasols also make for cute portraits.

Not to be outdone, the boys had their own props.

Professional lighting gets a smarty pants award. We can make detail shots look artistically lit all day long, but it's a whole other thing when your guests get to experience that 'mood.' And talk about a showstopper when the reception doors open for the first time!

Betty Webber rocked the bride and groom's cakes.

Custom lighting design allows for all sorts of drama... as seen on the dance floor.

Check out the light grids up top - notice the white balls of light in the background - those are the centerpieces all pinpointed with white light... as you can see, the rest of the space was PINK!

Allen did a booty dance for his bride...

Final award goes to edible favors. Allen is a huge Krispy Kreme fan (and really, who isn't?) - so the newlyweds took the opportunity to personalize their favors by sharing the yummy goodness of Original Glazed with their guests. I think we overheard they had 700 doughnuts!
