At a consultation a while back I had a mother remark that it was refreshing to see nice portraiture of people other than JUST the bride and groom. We think so, too. These are for all the mommas out there...

Taylor & Stuart come from a long line of Seminoles, so they know Meg Baisden couples all over the south. On top of that, Taylor is the sister of Mackay. We photographed Lauren & Mackay's wedding during September 2007 down in Tampa, FL. We're tickled to have you two on board for our 2010 season!

hot off the press: jackie & tom - preparation

Happy Monday, readers! We've just returned home from a wonderful weekend in Tampa where we shot the totally fantastic wedding of Hillary + George - keep checking the blog for an awesome upcoming post - and we also spent a perfect Sunday with our good friends Emily + Bryan. Back in the office, I can't help but smile thinking of what a great weekend we just had - which included a shopping spree with Em at Ikea (bonus!!) Since I'm feeling extra happy today, I was thinking 'why not spread the love around?' and share some prettiness to make your Monday a little happier, too. And while I'm at it - why not share another 100:1 feature, where we highlight 100 lovelies from 1 wedding? So that is exactly what I am going to do.

In these next two examples, you can see how we try to add a sense of place to our establishing detail shots. Sharing the city skyline as part of our composition makes for nice layering and will add to the overall storytelling.

Whenever possible, I try to utilize available light to accurately portray the mood & surroundings.



Relationships are always key for us - the dressing of a bride and her mother is almost ceremonial - as evidenced by this series...

flashback: sasha & paul - engagement

Happy Monday, blog readers! I'm excited to kick off this post-filled week with the engagement of Sasha + Paul that we shot in Tampa last year. Working with the gorgeous University of Tampa campus as our backdrop, we became fast friends with these lovebirds and couldn't wait to return in 6 months for their wedding.
