Apparently, Diane (Mother of the Bride) just got her first glimpse at their wedding pictures, as we just received this email:

Dear Meg and Charles,
The pics from Ashley and Mark’s wedding are absolutely amazing! I have been trying to capture in words since we first saw them how absolutely wonderful they are and I am at a loss. Stunning, gorgeous, amazing, absolutely beautiful…see, the words just don’t do them justice! From the beaming bridegroom, to the exquisite bride (can MOB’s say that?) you caught the love, the excitement, the fun, and the sanctity of the day. We are truly thankful you both were a part of Ashley and Mark’s special day. Another special blend of our families. You are an awesome team and I loved watching you “work” together; was it really “work”, you could tell you loved every minute of it!
Well, I’ve gone on long enough. We haven’t been able to decide on the engagement photos, how are we ever going to decide on wedding photos? Again, thank you, thank you, for making such a special day in our lives, so absolutely wonderful. You were a dream to work with and are amazing, amazing photojournalists! I checked the most recent blog posting and literally laughed out loud when I saw where my witty husband wrote (below) about y’all possibly consulting with me about “a shade of pink” - that cracks me up! Funny guy, that one. If you haven’t read his entry here (right beneath this one) - check it out!

Hey everyone!

This is Charles (Meg’s husband). This is just a quick note to let you know that since I’ve come full time with Meg in December, one of the biggest areas of responsibility I’m helping with is client correspondence and session scheduling. I wanted to give you a heads-up that more and more of our studio email responses are probably going to be from me…instead of Meg. We want to make sure that we reply to all of your questions as quickly as possible — so the best way to do this is to tag team. This will also free up more time so Meg can focus on all the artsy stuff that she does best! We’re so excited about this shift and know that it will mean better communication with EACH of you! Many many thanks for helping our little business continue to grow!

As a sidenote: While I am pretty well-versed in all things weddings, should you want to consult about flowers or a shade of pink - I’ll simply hand you over to Meg as that really is her arena. Also, if you ever just want to chat or talk with her directly you can always call her at 850.455.7724 or simply mention in your email that you’d like to chat directly with Meg; no offense taken - I know that every bride needs a little girl talk!

27 - that is how many of you lovely couples have commissioned us to photograph your weddings in 2006, and that number is growing every week! I never dreamed when I stepped into this world of photography (accidentally, really) - that in a few short years I would be doing this today and working with all of you…

I tell ya, every weekend I am blown away by the amazing, wonderful people that we have the privilege of photographing and sharing such special times with… you, your families, your friends… you all enrich our lives and we become, in some small way, a part of all of that. And if I haven’t said it yet - thank you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for choosing us to be there on maybe the biggest day of your life. It is an honor and a privilege to go to work each day.
