I just saw the results for the 2005 Winter Contest for the Wedding Photojournalist Association, and I had two images that ranked in the top 20!!
I was awarded 4th place in the Dancing category for this shot from Tyler & Preston’s reception:
Judges Comments: A humorous photo. Sometimes the subject makes the photo and this guy’s expression is priceless. The high camera angle and use of strobe works well to draw your eye in as well as the repetition of the arms.
And 14th in the Ceremony category for this photograph of Cristina:

I just wanted to share a quick preview of Jill & Cameron’s wedding!
Sherrie Clark (seen below) , one of our 2004 brides, styled Jill’s wedding day hair. It’s always so neat to work with previous clients again on a peer level! (As a sidenote, Sherrie has been my regular hair dresser for two years now and I adore her – when we made the move to our new home in Pensacola, I joked I would bottle her and take her with me! If you are looking for a new stylist – check her out at Clark & Company in Tallahassee Mall and tell her I sent you.

Dear Meg and Charles,
I know I have said it before, but we just can’t believe how amazing the pictures are! We keep looking at them over and over again. Our family and friends have been raving about them. The two of you are truly an incredible team. We will definitely take our time deciding on the pictures for the album (it’s going to be tough with so many wonderful pictures to choose from). Thank you for responding to all of our questions so quickly. We have enjoyed working through every step of this process with both of you. How amazing that God would allow an old friend from high school to play such an important role in our special day! Thank you again and we’ll be in touch with the pictures we decide on for the album.

Hi Meg. The bridal shots were so great! My mom cried when she looked at them. I have a list of shots that I want to make sure that we get for our formal pictures on the wedding day. Some you would probably do anyway, but I just wanted to make sure. I can’t believe it’s next week.
