We had fun getting to know Jen & Jon out at Pensacola Beach the other weekend:

We’re looking for to seeing y’all again in Destin for the wedding in October!

Ever have those mornings where you wake up feeling like you just went to sleep? When you think ‘who would even notice if I just turned off my alarm, pulled the telephone cord from the wall, and went back to bed for…oh, say… the rest of the year?’ Yeah, us too. Today was one of those mornings… Charles and I spent the first hour of the day walking around bleary-eyed, still with bed-head (you know you work from home when…) On days like today, your witty and thoughtful emails really jump-start our day.

Here are just a few recent examples:

“Charles and Meg- We got out album last week and I am so pleased with how it turned out. You really do such beautiful work and I feel like we have a genuinely unique album that will be able to rekindle the excitment of our wedding day for many many years to come. I cannot thank you enough for all your hard work!”

“Dear Meg,
Wow!! What an amazing photographer you are. I was just doing a search for photographers in Gulf Shores to do a large family photo session and came across your site. God has really blessed you with a tremendous gift. I spent nearly an hour looking at the most awesome photos. I saw you mentioned Florida State several times and I myself am an alumni. If you are still doing weddings in the years to come I will have to have you photograph my childrens weddings. They are only 13 and 16 right now so we have a while I pray. Just wanted you to know you and your husband do beautiful work.”

“Meg + Charles — I can’t thank you enough for ALL of your generosity last week! You really know how to make a girl feel special! Please let me know if I can ever be of any help to you! I just love you both to pieces!”

“Hope you are having a fabulous week! Everyone is RAVING about the slide show you put together. It is the talk of the town!!!”

“Oh my gosh, they are incredible!!!!! I knew they were going to be beautiful but I had no idea that I was going to be soooo happy with them!!!!!!! You are amazing! You captured and brought back one of the most amazing days of my life. Everyone that I showed them to is amazed at the artistic talent behind those pictures. Of course, I am giving them the contact information for you. Thank you both sooo much!!!!”

“Meg & Charles — Thanks so much for your great correspondence thus far! I’m so excited that you will be a part of our special day! And I can’t wait to meet you both!”

“OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOSH!!! You are TOOOOOO funny! I love love love that slideshow! I just woke up and I’m half asleep and I cant believe it! You guys are just too amazing! Thanks again guys!! I LOVE IT!”

“Hi Guys- I hope all is well with you, and the wedding season is a busy one. Everyone that has looked at my photos is jealous that they didn’t use you for their own wedding!! Thanks again! We have enjoyed everything sooooooo much!”

“Meg + Charles — Thank you for being a huge part of our very special day. I can’t wait to see the pictres - I know we’re going to love them. You guys are great & we’re so thankful we got to work with you both!”

“Hey Meg n’ Charles, Gosh– I can’t tell you guys how much my family and friends are enjoying seeing our engagement pictures!! We couldn’t be happier. My dad called twice the first day he saw them, and I think he has finally stopped cryin’ (happy tears of course!!) I think the whole state of FL has seen them, and I think a lady that he works with is going to contact you for her daughter’s December wedding!”

“Meg! I was just looking at your blog and studio site the other day and everything looks AMAZING. We were very impressed. How do you guys do so much and do it well?!”

“Dear Meg and Charles,

Hi! I’m Emily’s mom, and I’ve heard so much about you for so long that I feel like I’ve known you forever, so I’m just going to jump right in! WOW! UNBELIEVABLE! I just finished watching the slide show of Emily’s headshots and I am in tears! They are so beautiful! You captured her fun loving spirit, her beauty, and her outgoing personality! I went to your website, which is amazing by the way, as soon as Emily said she found her photographer for her wedding. I was blown away by your unique talent, but when you see your daughter in the pictures…WOW! You are the one for us! In fact, I told Emily that I was considering doing it all over again myself just to have you take the pictures! Seriously, as I sat and watched the slideshow I felt as though her 2 grandmothers (one passed away last summer and my mom is at the Haven with Alzheimers) were here, watching it with me. The music is beautiful and the pictures are priceless! You have a special gift and I wanted to thank you for making my day, week, and year! ”

“Meg & Charles — There are not enough words to THANK YOU!”

Y’all always give us that morning boost when we need it. You inspire us to push harder and challenge ourselves as artists. Thanks for that. Really.

Many of our loyal blog readers may remember the awesome images from Sharia & Sherman’s wedding in Atlanta…in case you missed it, here is the post: Sharia & Sherman’s Wedding.

So get this — Sharia called us last week to let us know that she has decided that based on her previous experience as an event coordinator, and then her own experience planning her wedding in Atlanta, she is ready for a career as a wedding coordinator !!!! Sharia mentioned to us that Jessica (one of our December brides) found her without even realizing that Sharia was also one of our brides! Sharia hadn’t yet asked Jessica who her photographer was, but while Sharia was showing Jessica her wedding images, Jessica recognized the images from our blog! Too crazy!

So here is what Jessica had to say about Sharia:

I truly don’t know what my wedding would be like without Sharia. She has been so instrumental in making my wedding truly, well, a fantasy! Living in Texas, and planning a wedding in Florida, Sharia has been the glue that has held everything together. She is so extremely efficient, thorough, punctual, and professional. All of that, AND she has the sweetest personality that a bride could ever ask for. For example,(and there are many, many examples that I could give), the very first day we started working together, I mentioned that I would like an ice sculpture at my wedding. Not only did she immediately start researching the best possible deal, she presented me with ten different quotes from local vendors, with the pros and cons of each vendor listed out, the very same day! Hiring Sharia has been THE BEST decision that I have made, or will make, for my wedding.

We also wanted to share some information from Sharia!

Your Fantasy Affair is a brand new and very senstional event coordination company located in Orlando, Florida! Sharia Riley (founder) has more than 10 years of event coordination experience including work on several major community service events, and corporate event coordination with companies like Wal-Mart & Hardee’s. She also planned a number of events during her college career in Tallahassee, including President TK Wetherell’s Humanitarian of the Year Luncheon held at Florida State University.

Sharia relies on her creative flair, and visualizes the smallest details! She is known for her ability to take ordinary ideas and turn them into phenomenal events! Clients have been impressed by her unique ideas and simplistic, yet perfect, finishing touches that she has been able to add to any event. Even more importantly, the needs of her clients are her top priority. If you ask for the moon, Sharia will do everything she can to deliver it!

For your upcoming wedding, bar/bat mitzvah, anniversary party, birthday party, or any occasion you would like to celebrate, Your Fantasy Affair can create the perfect event that will keep your guests talking for years to come!

So there you have it, ya’ll! You can learn more about Sharia at her website: Your Fantasy Affair, or by emailing her at sharia@yourfantasyaffair.com .

Good luck Sharia! See you in December!
