Congratulations to Brittany + Tom who tied the knot earlier this month in Gulf Breeze, Florida!
It’s always fun to look back and see what the girls were up to moments before the walk down the aisle and compare/contrast that to what the guys were up to.
I think the pictures speak for themselves:

And who says that boys are usually camera-shy? These guys were a bunch of hams! Absolutely no prompting from the photographer here:

I have this thing about shooting through windows/doors:

A private moment with the newlyweds:

FSU alumni honored their meeting place with the Seminole Groom’s Cake (Go Noles!):

The cutie pie in the upper left here is wanting to know why it’s taking so long to get a piece of cake! And the cutie opposite her (in the upper right) is a sweet girl that I went to college with - she was a guest at the wedding! It’s been about 4 years now - but I would recognize her anywhere. She used to come over to rehearse for our advanced acting class (theatre majors!) at Charles’ apartment years before we were married. I saw her enter the church moments before the ceremony and we both did a double take! Small world, eh?

wanna know something cool?
it’s my birthday today.
twenty-five. (yup, i’m young - i know!) today, i have lived a quarter of a century. gosh - it sounds so big when written like that….
happy birthday to me
charles is packing our gear - we are off to fort walton beach today for an engagement shoot with kylene and casey. here’s hoping the rain holds out long enough to give them some awesome art!
maybe i’ll get some yummy seafood on the drive back home…
you know you are getting older when people don’t make a fuss over your birthday anymore. which is kind of sad for me, since i love any reason for family and celebrations. but i’ve learned in my twenty-fifth year that sooner or later you have to start doing things for yourself. and before anyone starts feeling sorry for me for working on my bday - don’t - because we just got back from a mini vacation in atlanta. (okay, we were there for work too - but we spent an extra day just being tourists and celebrating my unofficial day of birth!)
i’ve been blessed with 25 really awesome years to date (though i can only remember the past 20… well, 10 vividly.) so, here’s to the next 25 being even better!
- meg
p.s. wanna know something else? i typed this in all lowercase letters… weird.

We had such a great time getting to know Holly & Stephen - both doctors-in-training! - a little better this July over their engagement shoot and dinner at Pensacola Beach. We are seriously excited about their Gulf Shores, Alabama wedding in 2007!

Y’all might remember seeing lovely Andrea last month when we blogged about her bridal session with Meg. Well, she is back and she is hitched to her new hubby Wilson - and we are so happy for them! Andrea is one seriously cool chick - and we were so excited to see her marrying such a nice guy (who we finally met on their wedding day!)
It was another beautiful capitol city wedding - see for yourself:
Can you spot another MB Photography bride? That’s Erin (03.18.06) in the upper left (standing):

Flowers by the fabulous Missy Gunnels:

First sight before the ceremony - always so emotional:

First dance as seen by the two little flowergirls - daydreaming about their wedding days, I suppose:

The cake was fit for a magazine:

Last month we met the Grissims near Rosemary Beach, where the family was vacationing. This marked a new record for us - two family portrait sessions in one week! Charles and I hardly ever photograph family portrait sessions (only if you really beg) - and didn’t know what to expect, to be honest. Earlier that week we had a great time working with the Helms family - but the kids were the real focus there, and were much younger than the tweens of the Grissim family. My stomach was filled with butterflies as we hugged our hellos. But as I quickly discovered - there was no need for concern - this was the coolest group! We had a blast trespassing onto private property (oops - did I write that?!), using the cool architecture of the area, and playing with the white on white theme they were sporting. I tell ya, if I had known family portrait sessions could be this much fun - we would’ve started years ago…
