Who: Meg + Charles (and thousands of other photographers from all over the world)
What: 2007 WPPI Photography Convention
When: March 23 - 30, 2007
Where: Las Vegas, NV
Charles and I had the awesome opportunity back in March to attend a huge photography convention for professional photographers hosted each year by WPPI (Wedding & Portrait Photographers International) in Las Vegas, NV. We spent the better part of a week shuffling from one seminar to the next, and when we weren’t in class you could find us on the tradeshow floor or trying to fit in a nap back in our room… well, that’s a bit deceptive, I suppose. It wasn’t ALL work - we did manage to fit in some sightseeing and even a few shows while we there - most noteably, Penn & Teller, Cirque de Soleil’s Mystere, Monty Python’s Spamalot, and even a hypnotist!
On our last day in Vegas, we forced ourselves to take some photos to share with everyone here (yup, I said ‘forced’ - because by our last night we were so exhausted we almost didn’t even take the camera with us!) :
We went the Rio to see Penn & Teller our first night in Vegas

In the lobby of our hotel - this was done the same way as the centerpieces from one of our August 2006 weddings that a few of our brides have asked about, so we took a few shots of this to share a more detailed look:

Spamalot starring John O’Hurley (of Seinfeld and Dancing with the Stars fame) was AWESOME!

Who: Tara + David
What: Wedding
When: March 17, 2007
Where: Tallahassee, FL | Los Robles Park | Tallahassee Women’s Club
There is really only one word to describe Tara + David’s wedding: PARTAY!!!! Literally, the entire reception was a gigantic party! Greg Tish of GT Entertainment was mixing up some crazy tunes on the dance floor, and we had a really awesome time! Thanks for making us feel so welcome guys!!!!
~ Charles
As always, Meg was working with the girls, while I hung out with the guys!

The cigars made a guests appearance later in the evening! Oh yeah — we were hangin’ out at Finnegan’s Wake since it was St. Patty’s Day. I think all the boys were on their best behavior, and NO ONE had anything to drink!!!

Tara — I can’t remember who did your cake! Leave a comment on here so someone gets credit for this amazing creation!!!!

Some of our loyal readers may remember Jen + Matt from November!

Yeah Greg!!! Great party!!!

What in the world?! How did this get in here? Yes — that is me, having a party of my own. I’d like to thank my wife for documenting this moment of weakness…

So cool.

This kid has got some moves!

A perfect ending to a perfect day! Congratulations guys!!!

Anytime we have the opportunity to personalize a session, we jump at it! So when Casey + Bryce mentioned that they were bringing their dog AND a pet sitter, we were thrilled! Their baby was absolutely hilarious…check out the way it sits in Bryce’s hand!

Who: Rebecca + Michael
What: Wedding Day
When: March 10, 2007
Where: Pensacola, FL | Olive Baptist Church | Museum of Commerce
Some days, you walk out your door, and things just go so right! Rebecca + Michael’s wedding was one of those days! Everything from the soft light, to the beautiful venues just created an amazing day!!!
~ Charles
A genuine laugh…one of those moments you just have to be ready for! This was one of my shots from the “getting ready” session with the guys. Meg & I are especially fortunate to be able to photograph weddings together. Being a husband & wife photography team allows us to work with the girls & guys seperately on the wedding day!

Rebecca + Michael decided to share a private “first glance” before the ceremony. We recommend this to our couples who want to streamline the formals process, and create a smooth transition between the ceremony & the reception.

Michael seeing his beautiful bride for the first time!

Rebecca + Michael rockin’ the couples shots!

Does it get any cuter than this? Such a precious moment!

Another breathtaking cake by the one & only Betty Weber of Creative Confections. Betty works on a referral basis only, but we are starting to see more & more of her cakes at our weddings. There must be a trend going on here!

A gorgeous overview of the Museum of Commerce. What an incredible venue!

Who: Rebecca
What: Bridal Session
When: February 2, 2007
Where: Downtown Pensacola
“Things will be great when you’re…downtown!”
As business owners with studio space in the historic district of Downtown Pensacola, we try to take every opportunity we can to parade our oh-so-willing clients all around downtown. Rebecca was totally game for it, and we had a nice stroll around downtown, exploring the urban textures offered by our city.

Was it something I said?

OK…seriously…what’s so funny?

Too cool for school!
