Our first attempt at an e-session with these two was quickly rained out - so we met up with ‘em again, a few weeks later, and hit the beach:

Yay for blue skies

When we were walking back to our cars, Charles told them to stop in the street and shot this - it reminded me then, and even now, of this song:
(I know I’m a dork. It’s okay.)

Omigoodness - Jessica & John finally had their baby boy and I’ve been so behind with blogging (I know, I know) that I’m already packing my bags for shoot number two with this little guy in Austin, TX over the holidays!! *so* excited to see how he has grown - here’s a look at our first encounter:
I think he has his Momma’s eyes

Not yet sitting on his own, of course - I wonder if he will be for our next shoot?

This was Jessica’s bassinet as a baby - how cool is that?

Ashton with Grandpa, a former FSU football player - GO NOLES!

When Jessica was showing me all of his adorable baby clothes - she pulled out this fuzzy little number Ashton wore for Halloween and, of course, I had to see it on - but the poor little dude was so worn out, he slept through the rest of our shoot! I like to call this one “Drunk Pumpkin”

The cutest pumpkin I’ve ever seen:

Had to shoot these - something about big people things in miniature send me to a very maternal place…

Welcome to the blog little Ashton - excited to see you around here more often!
And in case you missed a preggo Jessica - see Ashton inside the belly HERE

Hilarie + Tony had a super sweet downtown wedding in Tallahassee, FL this past September. Here are a few images from the day!
~ Charles
As if parking wasn’t already a problem downtown, the entire downtown block was overrun with party people for the Carribean Festival happening just outside their ceremony and reception locations! No kidding - they actually were able to arrange for all live music and dancing to cease for one hour so the couple could have their church ceremony in peace!

I love this shot of Tony taken while he was on the phone with his bride, surveying the mess of people in the streets for the 2-day Carribean Fest.

Looking dapper.

Chocolate brown with green accents - a girl after our own hearts!

Hilarie was all tears escorted by her dad - I get a little choked up looking through these images…

This was a wonderful moment of Hilarie & her dad walking down the aisle.

Happy Newlyweds

It’s easy to see how in love these two are!

The reception also boasted some crazy-cool floral arrangements:

Hilarie + Tony had an asian station at their reception…

…with a wasabi snake!

Hilarie surprised Tony with a cigar bar! The boys LOVED this!

They also had a martini slide! Too cool!

After the cake had been but, we snuck outside for a few minutes and snagged a handful of nighttime couple shots - so quick no one noticed we were gone

The end of an awesome weekend:

Tue 11 Dec 2007
Back in September we photographed the lovely wedding weekend of Hilarie & Tony in Tallahassee, FL. We first met Hilarie when she was a bridesmaid at Johanna’s wedding in May of 2006 - here are both of those beautiful women (Hilarie on the left, Johanna on the right):

Due to rain, the dinner & cocktail hour had to be moved from the beautiful pool deck to the inside of a ballroom - but I think they still managed to do a great job of pulling off a ‘tropical’ feeling, despite the setting. Placecards:

Brightly colored linens packed a punch:

Signature drink!

Okay, cool story here - Tony’s proposal was a surprise to Hilarie (as the very best proposals are) which took place at sunset on the beach, right off of the boardwalk area of a restaurant the newly-engaged would be dining at that evening. This moment was actually captured by an observant onlooker - and when the emotional pair came up from the beach, this shutterbug approached them and told them he had captured the proposal on film! (HOW COOL IS THAT?!) A few weeks later - an entire series of photographs arrived in the mail - and the couple incorporated them into a slideshow shown at the dinner, which is where this shot came from:

Stay tuned for their beautiful Tallahassee wedding - coming up next!
