Huntsville, AL has been recognized by various money magazines as one of the best places in the country to live & work. Valerie + Ryan thought it was the best place in the country to get hitched! Here are a few images from their wedding day!

I started my morning with Ryan & the boys.
Meg joined us at the Huntsville Botanical Garden to photograph the crew together…just a few moments before Valerie + Ryan had their first glance!
The giant lilypads made for amazing scenery!

After we wrapped up the formals, it was time to head over to the church.
Check out these next two shots that Meg grabbed just before the ceremony. I love the first shot on its own…the nervous anticipation from Ryan’s mom is so sweet! But if you look inthe background…can you see what was happening?

my dress is REAL vintage
…my mom was married in it in 1977! we did some alterations (including removing the 70s sheer long sleeves!) and my mom rebeaded everything by hand. my veil was taken from hers as well; hers was cathedral length but we shortened it into an elbow length waterfall for me. i love how it turned out and the meaning behind it.

Absolutely! It was a *GORGEOUS* dress! I didn’t realize your mom did all that work herself!!! WOW!!! I knew it was her dress, but that makes it even more amazing!

Ha! Ryan’s cousin directed the boys in a ridiculous song. There are only two lines…”Oh sir [insert groom’s name here], please don’t touch me”, which is sung three times, followed by “as we lie between the lily-white sheets with nothing on at all”. Each time they sang the verses, a word was eliminated from the first line, and it got more and more suggestive (and funny) until eventually Danny (the director) was moaning OOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHH so loudly, that I couldn’t even look at him…..hence Meg’s now infamous picture of me covering my face and everyone laughing. Does that cover it, Charles?
