Mandy + James
Wedding
February 16, 2008
You all met Mandy + James a few weeks ago when we featured their engagement session on the blog. You also got to see Mandy’s bridal session that we photographed over at Steelwood in Loxley, AL. This past February, it was time for the wedding bells here in Pensacola, FL. Check it out.
~ Charles
We started off the morning with a first glance in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church Pensacola.

We moved right through the couples formals & into the group shots with bridal party + family. This saves us tons of time after the ceremony, and gets our couples to the reception a lot sooner following the ceremony.

Mandy with her Dad.

The details at Mandy + James’ wedding were dreamy! Mandy wanted a garden feel for the event. With the help of Skopelos and Celebrations, it totally hit the mark!

Custom wedding cakes by the iconic Betty Weber!

Mandy + James opened the reception with their first dance.

An emotional & oh-so-proud Dad looking on.

Local favorites Clark & Company set the tone for the evening.

Lead singer Caroline Norman. I think Meg went to high school with her too.

It just wouldn’t be a wedding without the YMCA…

…and some crazy friends from college. Thanks for “keeping it real” girls!

Local celebrity & car mogul Sandy Sansing danced with Mandy.

Bridesmaid Emily caught the bouquet and was proposed to just days later - so the legend must be true!

This shot says it all…time to go home buddy.

Thanks for including us in your celebration, guys. We hope y’all are enjoying the start of a new life in San Francisco - Meg especially can’t wait to schedule a visit!

Jennifer + Tom
Engagement Session
February 7, 2008
Pensacola, FL
Jennifer + Tom were one of our few Pensacola locals that we have the chance to work with each season. We had an awesome time shooting some fun shots for their engagement session, and we just finished up their wedding last week! So check back soon to see the images from their big day.
~ Charles
We started out in downtown Pensacola.

From there, we hit Pensacola Beach. This almost never happens, but we actually got to shoot at the ACTUAL location that Tom proposed! WOW!

Tom calls this Jennifer’s Brittany Spears hat! Too funny!

Allanda
Headshots
February 1, 2008
Pensacola, FL
Allanda is an opera singer in Mobile, and needed a fresh look for her headshots. Meg (with her background in theatre) jumped at the chance! We had a great afternoon, and got some great shots!
~ Charles
Allanda picked these shots to use for her portfolio - two color, two black & white:

Meg tells me the key to good headshots is a clean background, great catchlights in the eyes, and nice light on the skin - I think she aced it here:

Thanks for letting us be a (tiny) part of your continuing success, Allanda!

Penelope + Patrick
Engagement Session
January 27, 2008
Watercolor, FL
Penelope + Patrick are actually old acquiantences of Meg’s from high school. She knew them both…who could have guessed they’d end up together! But we’re glad they did, and we had an awesome time working the Watercolor scene this past January. Their wedding is a little under 2 weeks away.
~ Charles
We started off in front of Patrick’s company. It’s a jewelry shop you Pensacola peeps might have heard of…Elebash’s?

My fav of the day.

Just a little something different.

Amanda + Diskin
Wedding
January 19, 2008
Seaside, FL
Amanda + Diskin tied the knot this past January in Seaside, FL. Here are a few images from their big day.
~ Charles
How cute is this “to do” list?

Meg started her morning with the girls.

…and caught a few details while she was at it.

The boys started their poker game with creamer packets. I think the Sweet & Low was worth a little extra.

As luck would have it, someone actually had a poker set in their car. Diskin pretty much hustled everyone.

When Diskin finished cleaning up at the card table, it was time to get cleaned up.

Amanda + Diskin met up before the ceremony for their first glance.

After a few group shots & formals, it was time to start the show.

The Seaside Chapel.

Shooting the formals before the ceremony allowed Amanda + Diskin to slip right into their getaway car, and head to the reception.

Looking for a snazzy way to make an exit? Check out Paradise Taxi.

Looking for a fantastic way to kick off your reception? Try the dances! We love it!

Gorgeous ambiance provided by candlelight.

Dude. I love this groom’s cake. If I could do it all over again, I would go poker themed on my groom’s cake.

Amanda’s Dad took the stage to sing a song to his little girl.

Amanda + Diskin ended the night in style with a traditional New Orleans second line.

Another stolen moment in the getaway car. Thanks for a great weekend guys!
