Welcome the the Meg Basiden Photography blog! So what the heck is this blog thing anyways? Here’s the scoop!
Meg started this crazy blog back in July of 2005! It’s hard to believe that we’ve been actively blogging for 2 years now! It seems like only yesterday, we’d barely been in business for 2 years! Amazing how time passes.
So this blog is really about one thing: we needed a way to build a sense of community among our clients.
Why would we want our clients to interact? Simple! Our clients are our salespeople! The funny thing about our job is that 9 out of 10 times, a prospective bride contacts our studio, and with no introductions at all, they KNOW all about us! They know the name of our dog, they know funny little things that we’ve shared throughout the history of this blog, and they know that they are ready to hire us to document their wedding day! We don’t really have to sell them…all of our amazing clients have already done the work for us by allowing us to photograph your wedding day!
This blog allows us to create a living history of our business that documents our personal journey through this wedding world. While updating our website is slow & tedious, updating this blog is an exciting experience that we look forward to each month. It allows us to share our newest & freshest work with all of our past & current clients, and it gives us a way to really show just how successful you have allowed our business to become.
But the most amazing part of this blog is that it allows us to brag about all of our incredible clients, and share the amazing opportunities that each & every one of you has given to us. This blog is our small way of giving back, and raving about the experiences that you create for us! This blog gives Meg & I a way to look back…and when we look back, seeing all of the incredible clients we have had over the years…seeing their smiling faces filled with emotion on this blog… it’s like meeting them again for the first time!
