Who: Holly + Stephen
What: Post Wedding Session
When: May 29, 2007
Where: Gulf Shores, AL | The Beach Club Gulf Shores

Holly & Stephen decided to forgeo a bridal session in favor of a post wedding session! The post wedding session let’s us create stunning couple’s images without using time on the wedding day. We went back to The Beach Club Gulf Shores (where Holly & Stephen were married), and had a wonderful time working with the two of them. The weather wasn’t cooperating, but it was still a fantastic shoot!

Natalie & Justin are back now as Newlyweds! Ya’ll had been married - what - a week? two weeks? - when we shot these downtown.

We met up with these two only ten short hours after saying our goodbyes at their reception the night prior! With the excitement (and stress!) of the big day behind them, our Newlyweds were looking forward to an early shoot around Hilton Head Island before we had to say goodbye one last time.

We started our shoot at the very wet and overcast beach and pool area surrounding the hotel…

Followed by breakfast - which I didn’t take photos of - so you’ll just have to imagine it! (Sidenote for our Newlyweds: It was so nice to have the time to have a real sit down meal with y’all! For our destination weddings, we always seem to be jetting in and out so fast, we rarely have that kind of one-on-one time - I think this is going to have to be a new standard. ;) No, seriously guys, it was an honor to be there during this amazing time in your relationship and we are thankful to know you better. Okay, mushy stuff aside…)

After an amazing breakfast, we headed over to Palmetto Bluff for a fun post-wedding shoot.

I love this:

And this (we had a family with two little girls looking on during this part - so I kept thinking “uhhh… let’s stop the hand right about there, Aaron!”):

And this, too - since Kristi is such a big fan of black & white photography:

AND - I just received an email from Kristi, who has apparently been watching her highlights slideshow over and over again this morning, and she had this to say:

Meg & Charles-
My search for the best photographer lead me to you and now I search for the words to express my gratitude for your work; however, I am speechless!

I told Aaron over and over that I feared our wedding pictures wouldn’t turn out as beautiful as the others on your website because I don’t feel I’m that pretty. Well…you proved me very wrong. Not only do I feel like I’m looking at a masterpiece, I pinch myself because I’m looking at me and my husband.

Your work is a true gift from God and I thank him that he brought us all together.

Okay, now……………….your email should have included a mascara alert!!!! You have made everyone in my office, including myself, cry from the BEAUTIFUL pictures you took. If this is just a little teaser, I can’t wait for the full-deal!!!

Hope ya’ll are doing good back in Florida. I have already told Aaron that you will be seeing us again for when we have a baby.

Lots of love to you both!

Thank you for your sweet words honey! Well, except that part about you not feeling “pretty” - WHAT IS THAT ABOUT?! I hope you can see that you really *are* beautiful - my camera is good, but it doesn’t lie!!! :)

**Ladies and gentlemen - if you would, if you feel so inclined - please leave this crazy girl a comment and let her know how great she looks! I mean it, I want her to know it’s not just a biased photographer talking here. You were a beautiful bride, Kristi!!!**

I love the dynamics between these two brand-spankin’-new Newlyweds!

We shot these two in between rainstorms in Seaside, Florida the day after they exchanged nuptials on the beach:
